Local South Carolina roots

We take care of customers like neighbors.

Because, that’s exactly what you are — our neighbors. Response Roofing is a locally owned, CCU alumni-owned residential roofing company based on the Grand Strand. The roofs we install are on the same streets we drive every day, in the same salt air and the same South Carolina summer storms.

That is the whole reason we started this. Homeowners here deserve a roofer who picks up the phone, quotes honestly, and is still around in five years when you have a question.

When we say Response You Can Count On, we mean you can actually reach us, you will know what is happening and when, and we stand behind the work long after the truck pulls away.

Why Atlas shingles

Black streaks are not dirt. They are algae.

We focus on using materials that actually hold up down here instead of just the cheapest option. Here is why that matters.

South Carolina gives us intense year-round UV, high humidity and warm temperatures for most of the year — perfect conditions for Gloeocapsa magma, the algae behind those ugly black streaks. It makes a roof look old and tired years before it actually is, and it costs you at resale.

Most “algae-resistant” shingles use only a 3–5% copper granule blend, which is why streaks still show up across the Southeast. Atlas shingles with 3M™ Scotchgard™ Protector use a minimum 10% blend, evenly distributed across the whole shingle, and Atlas pulls samples from every production shift for independent third-party lab verification.

The result is copper ions releasing slowly and steadily for 10 years or more, backed by a Lifetime Algae Resistance Limited Warranty against black streaks. In a climate like ours, that difference is the whole ballgame.

How it works

Four steps, no surprises

We show up when we say we will.

  1. Call or Request a Quote

Tell us what is going on — a leak, storm damage, or a roof that has simply run out of years.

  2. Free Roof Inspection

We get up there, photograph what we find, and show you the actual condition of your roof.

  3. Clear Written Estimate

Itemized and easy to read, with your options explained in plain language. No pressure.

  4. Roof Done Right

Installed to spec by our crew, cleaned up properly, and warranted. We stand behind the work.
